Hey family — I’m Jay. 👋🏾

If you’re here, you probably already know I play bass. But let me tell you a little more about who I am and why I built this place.

I’ve been blessed to play on some of the biggest stages in the world — Glastonbury with Mark Ronson, the American Music Awards with Drake, Tiny Desk with Ayra Starr, touring with Musiq Soulchild. I’ve also spent 15+ years in church ministry, leading worship and running broadcast audio. Right now I’m the Broadcast Mix Engineer at New Zion Temple in Philly.

Bass is my first language. I play Warwick basses, and I’ve spent my whole life chasing tone, feel, and pocket.

But here’s the thing — I didn’t build BassTribe to talk about ME. I built it because bass players need a real home. A place where you can post a clip and get honest feedback. Where no question is dumb. Where we’re all trying to get better together.

So here’s what I want from you:

2. Post a clip of your playing. Doesn’t have to be perfect. I’ll listen and give you real feedback.
